A Letter from Student Engagement

Dear Student Organization Leaders and Members,

Welcome to a new year at ENMU–Roswell! Your involvement in student organizations is an important part of student engagement and student success. These groups offer valuable opportunities to develop leadership skills, build friendships, and make a meaningful impact on our university community. To support your efforts, the ENMU-Roswell Student Organizations Handbook has been created as a guide for student leaders, members, and advisors. It includes important information on policies, procedures, event planning, and resources available to your organization. All members and advisors are expected to be familiar with its contents. The Office of Student Engagement is here to help you succeed. If you have questions or need support, please reach reach out. Let’s make this a great year—on your mark, get set, go!

All the best,

Veronica Munoz
Assistant Vice President of Student Engagement

What are Student Organizations?

Any ENMU-Roswell student group officially recognized by the University is declared to be a student organization, also known as a student club or agency, and is subject to the requirements and rights listed in the Student Organizations Handbook. Initial recognition of a student organization constitutes approval of its proposed program and purposes (constitution). Recognition is a charter to exist and continued recognition may be withdrawn or suspended by the Student Government Association and/or Assistant Vice President of Student Engagement for violations of requirements or failure to submit required annual documentation. Recognition by ENMU-Roswell gives a student organization/club the right to use the name of ENMU-Roswell and in turn implies the responsibility of the organization to use the name wisely. Recognized organizations may also use facilities according to established policies.
