Our Mission

The Foundation exists to generate support for Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell’s goal of providing a superior, affordable education to all students. Gifts to the Foundation support programs and activities not funded through traditional sources.

The ENMU-Roswell Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization created to provide a structure through which individuals, corporations and other private sector interests can show their support for ENMU-Roswell.  As a non-profit corporation chartered in the state of New Mexico, the ENMU-Roswell Foundation has been granted tax-exempt status by the Internal Revenue Service, and all contributions are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.

The Board

  • $10,000 for matching funds to establish a Food Pantry
  • $10,000 for community and recruiting events
  • $5,000 for Presidential Offices for Program Requests
  • $2,000 for Activities Committee
  • $3,000 for Senates ($1,000 each for Professional, Faculty, and Support Senates)

Gifting Options

Endowments

An endowment is a collection of assets invested to support ENMU-Roswell’s educational mission in perpetuity. With your gift, you may establish an endowment towards a specific purpose.

Annual Giving

An annual gift can be made at any time for any reason. Annual gifts are used to defray day-to-day expenses as increasing enrollment and demands strain ENMU-Roswell’s resources. Unrestricted donations provide the Foundation’s directors the flexibility to identify where funds are needed most to improve and strengthen ENMU-Roswell. Your contributions can also be restricted to one or more specific areas of interest to you.

Memorial Scholarships

You may make a contribution to the Foundation in the memory of a family member or friend. You may make a general gift or a gift to be designated for a specific area. You can also choose to award a one-time scholarship.

Presidential Scholarships

The ENMU-Roswell Presidential Scholarship is the most prestigious scholarship awarded by Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell and funded by the Foundation. It is a competitive scholarship program open to the top 10-percent of Chaves County and Artesia high school graduates. The scholarship covers tuition/fees and books at the Roswell campus for two years as students complete the requirements for an associate degree.

Leaving a Legacy

When considering your long range estate and financial plans or preparing your will, we ask you to remember ENMU-Roswell. You can name the Foundation in your will as a beneficiary of your estate with either a specific amount or a percentage of the remainder. You may also give assets other than cash, such as real estate, mineral rights, or art.
