ENMMC Auxiliary Boosts ENMU-Roswell Foundation with $100K Donation: Student Workspace Initiative Launched
Roswell, New Mexico – May 3, 2024 – On Monday, April 29th, the ENMMC Auxiliary made a significant contribution to the ENMU-Roswell Foundation, presenting a generous $100,000 check. The donation, bestowed by the ENMMC Auxiliary, is aimed at supporting individuals pursuing careers in the health sciences field.
Under the leadership of Warren Yehl, CEO of Eastern New Mexico Medical Center, an exciting opportunity emerged to establish a dedicated workspace within the hospital premises for students enrolled at ENMU-Roswell, specifically in nursing or health sciences programs. This initiative seeks to provide students with a conducive environment for working on clinical reports and handling sensitive information, effectively extending the university’s resources into the hospital setting for educational purposes.
Spanning 2500 square feet, the designated space will undergo light renovations, including the installation of new flooring, painting, and the integration of essential amenities such as cabinets, lockers, furniture, and smart boards. The project is slated for completion within the next 60 days, ensuring readiness for the upcoming fall semester.
