Día De Los Muertos

Festival de Día de los Muertos — ENMU Roswell
Once a year, we make space to remember. On Monday, November 2, 2026, the TRiO Student Support Services team invites the ENMU Roswell community—students, faculty, and staff—to the Festival de Día de los Muertos in the Student Lounge, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
The Day of the Dead is not a day of sorrow; it is a celebration—a time to honor our loved ones and celebrate life. At the festival, you’re invited to wander through the stations, add your own magic to the altar, and grab a quick snack along the way.
The celebration actually begins before the big day. The community ofrenda (altar) is open for contributions 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM from Wednesday, October 28 through Monday, November 2, 2026, in the Student Lounge. Whether you have five minutes or an hour, you’re welcome to share a photo, a memento, or a small token that keeps someone near in memory.
Before you leave something on the ofrenda, a few things to keep in mind. The altar is in a public space, and items and photos on it may be photographed or filmed by visitors, organizers, or the public. For that reason, please do not leave irreplaceable original photos or valuable personal items—and if possible, write your name on the back of what you contribute (organizers are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items). Please also refrain from leaving fresh food or anything that may spoil, spill, or attract pests; fake food props and sealed items are always welcome. And for safety, real candles and matches are not permitted—only battery-operated LED candles may be used.
Everything placed on the ofrenda will be available for pickup on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at the Library Front Desk.
We hope to see you there. Come as you are, bring a memory, and help make the altar a living tribute to the people who shaped our lives.
