ENMU-Roswell offers online degrees for students in and outside of New Mexico
ENMU-Roswell delivers online education programs and courses throughout the United States and abroad. ENMU-R has been continuously accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) since 1971. The HLC accreditation covers all programs. Additionally, The New Mexico Higher Education Department (NMHED) oversees and regulates all postsecondary institutions operating in New Mexico and recognizes that ENMU-Roswell is authorized to offer certificate and associate degree programs at the undergraduate level.
Licensure Programs
Federal guidelines requires institutions to assist students in verifying if our licensure programs will be valid in a student’s state of residence. Information on state licensure requirements is checked yearly for accuracy and students are notified upon program interest and admission as to the status of licensure for their state of residence. Because licensure decisions are the responsibility of each state board, and may change, it is important for students to be in contact with their intended state licensure office throughout their program. It is the student’s responsibility to understand and comply with the professional licensure requirements for any state.
If you need help identifying contact information for a particular state, please refer to the Professional Licensure Disclosures, or contact the Office of Admissions & Records at 575.624.7141 or email [email protected].
Attestations
Institutions may offer a program leading to licensure or certification to a student who currently lives in a State where the program does not meet requirements for licensure or certification if the school obtains an attestation from the student about the specific State to which they intend to move, so long as the program satisfies the educational requirements for licensure in that State. Attestations are not automatic and are on a case-by-case and must be initiated by the student. A hardcopy written attestation from the student would fulfill this requirement, as would an email sent from the student’s insitution email address.
Student Complaints and Resolution Resources
Eastern New Mexico University is committed to providing a transparent and effective mechanism for communicating and resolving student complaints, in compliance with university policy [70-10], the U.S. Department of Education and the Higher Learning Commission.
Distance education students attending ENMU should follow the ENMU complaint process. If they are not satisfied with that resolution, they can file a complaint with NMHED. Complaints regarding grades and student conduct violations shall not be reviewed by NMHED.
Current students will need to log in with their ENMU-R ID and password to access the complaint form.
Those without a current ENMU-R ID and password can submit a complaint by contacting the Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs at [email protected]
The New Mexico Higher Education Department (NMHED) can further facilitate in resolving student complaints after the student has utilized all resources with the institution. Visit the New Mexico Department of Higher Education for more information. These processes are available for students both residing inside and outside the state of New Mexico.
