Nursing Program Extends Application Deadline to July 24

Update for Fall 2020 Nursing Program Applicants

Dear Prospective Nursing Student,

Thank you for considering ENMU-Roswell Nursing Program, we look forward to working with you as you prepare to enter the nursing profession.  Due to the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions and closures of testing centers, the ENMU-Roswell Nursing Program has made the following changes in the application process related to the TEAS testing requirement.

  • The nursing application deadline has been extended to July 24, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. (see application found on the nursing webpage for directions)
  • Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) deadline has been extended to August 7, 2020
  • First Nursing Program Progression (admission) meeting will take place week of June 15th, 2020.
    • Students who turned in their application by May 29, 2020 will be reviewed for admission during this meeting.
    • Students will be notified the week of June 22, 2020 via the email address on the admission application of their admission status.
    • Students who have been unable to take the TEAS test and have completed an application, provisional acceptance into the nursing program may be granted for students who meet all other criteria for entry into the nursing program.
    • Students who are accepted on a provisional basis, must successfully complete the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) no later than August 7, 2020.
  • Second Nursing Program Progression meeting will take place the week of August 3, 2020.
    • Students who turned in an application by the extended deadline of July 24, 2020, needed to take prerequisite summer courses, or take the TEAS test to meet admission criteria will be reviewed during this meeting.
    • Students will be notified the week of August 10, 2020 via the email address on the admission application of their admission status.
    • Student previously granted provisional acceptance pending TEAS score will be notified of changed to full acceptance or denial based expected level of achievement set for TEAS score the week of August 10, 2020.
