ENMU-ROSWELL SPECIAL SERVICES PROGRAM TO HOLD GRADUATION CEREMONY

The ENMU-Roswell Special Services Certificate of Training Program for students with disabilities will hold its Thirty-Fifth Annual Graduation Ceremony on Thursday, July 22 at 1 p.m. in the Physical Education Center on campus. The ceremony will recognize 22 graduates of the program. Students will receive certificates in a variety of program areas: Animal Health Care, Food Services, Independent Living, Office Skills, and Stocking and Merchandising. The commencement speaker will be Dennis Kintigh, Mayor of Roswell. Two graduates, Felicia Avila and Ana Daly, will also be featured speakers during the ceremony.

The Special Services Program is unique in that it offers students with disabilities vocational and life skills training, which includes living in residence halls on campus. Students have the opportunity to experience college life in an all-inclusive environment in which they can be successful. The program is based around three semesters of training. Students must master 70-percent of the required competencies in their vocational field, core classes, and obtain a minimum of 2.0 GPA to earn a Certificate of Occupational Training. For information about the program, call 575-624-7286.
