Campus COVID-19 Update

Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell continues to monitor the evolving public health recommendations from the Governor’s office and the CDC. We will continue to do everything we can to keep our Campus Community safe.

Effective Monday, August 2, 2021, ENMU-Roswell will require masks to be worn indoors by all individuals, vaccinated and unvaccinated. Masks must be worn in any indoor group setting, including classrooms. All students, faculty, staff and visitors must wear their masks at all times in ENMU-Roswell buildings unless they are eating, drinking, or in an office alone.

ENMU-Roswell is requiring unvaccinated individuals to wear masks outdoors when unable to socially distance. Vaccinated individuals are not required to wear masks outdoors.

Any employee who requires medical accommodations should contact Human Resources at 575-624-7061. Students requiring accommodations should contact Academic Accommodations office at 575-624-7218.

The Governor’s recent executive order requiring vaccinations or testing does not apply to ENMU-Roswell as we are not direct employees of the state.

Currently, ENMU-Roswell is not requiring members of the ENMU-Roswell Community to provide proof of vaccination status.

We are confident that the members of our community will do the right thing and follow our protocols as it relates to their individual vaccination status.

Please help us continue good public health practices (handwashing; staying home when ill; physical distancing, when possible; mask-wearing, etc.) so we all stay safe and healthy.

This directive will be in effect until further notice.
