Need Tutoring? We are here to help!

We offer tutoring for any ENMU-R student.

The Success Center offers tutoring for all ENMU-Roswell students at no additional charge. The Success Center Tutoring Program has three labs on campus: The Math Lab (LRC 130), the Writing Center (LRC ), and the Tutoring Lab (LRC 114-in the Library).

The tutoring program provides structured study time with peers, reviews subject material and learning strategies to gain a deeper understanding of supported course content.

Success Center tutors are current ENMU-Roswell Students who have completed the supported courses with a grade of “B” or better, and are recommended by academic faculty.

The ENMU-R Supplemental Instruction (SI) Program is a free, peer-led study group that partners with historically difficult courses and provides an interactive environment to assist students with course concepts and discuss learning strategies. Each group is conducted by an SI Leader who has recently completed the course with a grade of “B” or better and is recommended by partnering academic faculty.

Benefits

Regular attendance of SI sessions provides students a number of opportunities including:

  • Dedicated time to immediately review material covered in class with a knowledgeable SI Leader
  • A chance to reinforce course topics and work through difficult concepts with peers
  • Occasions to form study groups that can continue throughout the semester

Additional Information for Students

An SI Leader will make class announcements toward the beginning of the semester.

SI attendees are encouraged to bring their textbook, notes, and prepared questions to the session to get the most out of the experience.

      Subjects from Algebra to Zoology

NetTutor is human-centered and research-based with a rich history of providing online tutoring and academic support to education institutions in a variety of disciplines and academic programs. Partnering with NetTutor means giving your students the assistance they need from experienced and qualified online tutors.

NetTutor supports tutoring 24 hours a day, every day in ESL, English and writing, FYE and College Success, Humanities, and Mathematics.

      Prepare for Your Session

      • As with other tutoring, have your questions, textbook, course material, and work readily available.
      • Only PDF files can be used in a tutoring session, Word documents are not accepted.  Have all files that may be needed in your session ready to be uploaded.
      • Ensure you have a microphone or a headset with a microphone to be used with your computer.  This will allow you to communicate with your tutor.  A webcam is optional, but recommended.  Confirm that both devices are working on the computer prior to starting your online tutoring session.

To Our Faculty and Campus Partners

The Tutoring Program’s mission to offer content-learning support to students enrolled in historically difficult courses would not be possible without the support of our ENMU-Roswell Faculty and Campus Partners.

Each semester we review opportunities to expand tutoring into subjects and locations to reach new ENMU-Roswell students on campus. If you are an ENMU-Roswell Faculty Member that would like to discuss an opportunity to partner with the Success Center Tutoring Program, we encourage you to contact us at [email protected].
