The Testing Services Department at ENMU-Roswell has been awarded and recognized as a National College Testing Association (NCTA) Certified Test Center for adhering to best practices in the testing industry. According to Testing Services director, Marisela Alvidrez, the certification is the result of a multi-phase process which includes an in-depth evaluation of all testing procedures to ensure the center is in compliance with strict NCTA standards. These standards validate credibility and enhance the student and community assessment experience.

“Congratulations to Marisela Alvidrez and the entire staff at Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell Testing Services,” said NCTA Duane Goupell, NCTA President, 2016-2018. “NCTA commends and salutes you for upholding the highest standards in test administration.”

The National College Testing Association (NCTA) is a non-profit organization of testing professionals working in post-secondary institutions, in companies with test-related products and services, and in other professional testing venues. NCTA was organized in 2000 through the merging of several regional associations.

NCTA is dedicated to the promotion of professionalism and quality in the administration of testing services and programs, including issues relating to test administration, test accessibility, test development, test scoring, and assessment. NCTA currently has more than 2,000 members, representing over 650 post-secondary institutions and more than 50 corporations and certification agencies in the United States and Canada. The organization maintains a comprehensive set of standards for testing centers administering paper and pencil and computer-based examinations, as well as a compilation of useful operational guidelines.

Test Center Certification shows outside testing entities that a test center operates under the highest accepted standards and procedures for all types of testing. ENMU-R Testing Services Department offers a vast number of exams through Pearson VUE, Prometric, PSI/LaserGrade, ATI, Certiport, HiSET, ACCUPLACER, and CLEP.
