INSTRUCTORS RECEIVE KOSA MERIT AWARDS

Two instructors at ENMU-Roswell, Psychology instructor, Robert Moore, and EMS Clinical Coordinator, Stacie Nason, have been selected to receive 2016-2017 Kosa Merit Awards. ENMU-Roswell Foundation President, Steve Henderson, presented the awards to Moore and Nason at the Branch Community College Board meeting on May 10.

Long before the current campus complex existed, William and Ethel Kosa contributed a gift of $31,000 to Roswell Community College. Their generosity eventually led to the establishment of the ENMU-Roswell Foundation, a source of scholarships and grants for students and faculty.  The Kosa Merit Award, instituted in 1970, recognizes two instructors each year for excellence in teaching and service to the institution. Chosen by their peers, the honorees receive an engraved plaque and a stipend of $300.  A large plaque in the Learning Resource Center lists the names of all the Kosa recipients.
