A free Future Skills Summer Program begins on June 10 at ENMU-Roswell. The program is open to students in the 6th through 12th grade and will continue for three days a week for 3 hours each day through July 19. The days of the week and times are still being finalized.

According to Irina Galassini, Engineering and Design Technology instructor, the students will be rotating through different activities each week. “Depending on the students’ skill levels, we may break them into beginner and advanced groups to give some kids an opportunity to start learning and others to develop advanced skills. We’ll also have little presents for them to take home, like designed T-shirts and dog tags they will work on themselves.”

“All the equipment in Studio C, the laser engraver, 3D printers, vinyl printer, and heat press will be used during the program. We also ordered robot kits for the program,” said Galassini. “Each kit has two different robots to design and they are all programmable. There will be two different levels of 3D modeling and printing. as well as drone flying.”
