ENMU-ROSWELL HOSTS SECOND ANNUAL AVIATION CAMP
ENMU-Roswell will hold its second annual Aviation Camp June 11-13. The deadline to sign up for the camp has been extended to Friday, June 1. The camp is designed for high school students entering 9-12 grade who will learn to fly a real airplane. The camp will cost $99 to attend. Camp hours are Monday, Noon to 5 pm., Tuesday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Wednesday, 8 a.m. to noon.
The camp will offer a variety of activities designed to help students explore the exciting careers and opportunities available in aviation. In addition to flying a plane with a Certified Flight Instructor, students will learn about drones, visit maintenance operations, tour the control tower at the Roswell Airport, work on an airplane project, see a hot air balloon demonstration and hear from civilian, commercial, and military aviation experts. At the end of the camp, participants will be awarded a certificate and a solo log book.
Space is limited to 40 participants, so students need to complete an application by Friday, June 1. Applications are available in office 101 of the Lawrence C.
