ENMU-Roswell will hold its third annual Aviation Camp June 3-5. The camp is designed for high school students entering 9th -12th grade who will learn to fly a real airplane. The cost to attend the camp is $125. Camp hours are Monday, Noon to 5 pm., Tuesday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Wednesday, 8 a.m. to noon. Space is limited to 20 participants, so students need to complete an application by Noon on Friday, May 17. 

The camp will offer a variety of activities designed to help students explore the exciting careers and opportunities available in aviation. In addition to flying a plane with a Certified Flight Instructor, students will learn about drones, visit maintenance operations, tour the control tower at the Roswell Airport, work on an airplane project, see a hot air balloon demonstration and hear from civilian, commercial, and military aviation experts. At the end of the camp, participants will be awarded a certificate and a pilot’s log book.
