ENMU-Roswell Announces New Safety Training Class

ENMU-Roswell and The National Center for EHS Education (NCEHSE) is offering a prep course for the Board Certified Safety Professionals national “Safety Trained Supervisor” (STS) course, May 31 – June 3. The 30-hour class is $695 per person.

“This is an extremely hard course to find and NCEHSE only offers it once a year,” said Michael O’Berry, director of NCEHSE. “The course prepares safety personnel to take the STS certification course given by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BSCP). Many companies use this course to professionally train their existing safety personnel in a comprehensive program covering their operations. Individuals new to the safety profession may find this course challenging to take due to the depth of the material. While the course is designed for supervisors and professionals with some safety experience, it focuses on preparing individuals for subjects found on the national certification exam.”

Seating is limited and reservations are required in order to take the class. For more information on enrolling, visit www.ncehsedu.com or call 575-624-7381. The course will be taught on the ENMU-Roswell campus by O’Berry, who is also a former State Inspector. Students should be prepared to learn quite a lot about OSHA and safety while attending this comprehensive class.
