The Aviation Maintenance Technology (AMT) Program at ENMU-Roswell is now enrolling new students to begin Tuesday, August 20. Incoming AMT students need to report to the AMT building for orientation on August 14. New students can also enroll in the program in January of 2020.

Students interested in a career in aviation maintenance can complete the Associate of Applied Science degree in 24 months or the Certificate of Achievement Program for licensure in 18 months. The program is approved by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Individuals who currently hold an FAA Airframe and Powerplant license can apply their A and P certification towards the AMT portion of the Associate of Applied Science degree through online classes. The program offers accelerated test prep courses for written, oral, and practical exams. The program includes an 80-hour basic composites training course, as well as the general aviation, powerplant, and airframe courses. Students receive hands-on experience with seven fixed-wing aircraft, including a Boeing 727 and three models of rotorcraft. Student also train on Allison/Rolls Royce 250’s, PT-6, Lycoming, and Continental equipment as well as systems trainers.
