The Student Support Services program was legislated by Congress in 1967. SSS was funded for the ENMU - Roswell campus in 2001. Student Support Services goals are:

1. To increase retention and graduation rates for participants.
2. To facilitate transition from one level of higher education to the next.
3. To nurture the supportive atmosphere and services of the college for SSS students.
   

• Instruction in basic study and academic skills
• Tutorial assistance
• Academic, financial and/or personal counseling
• Admission and financial aid application assistance for SSS students
• Information about career options
• Mentoring
• Special services for students with limited English skills
• Workshops and seminars addressing special concerns of SSS students

Services are provided through SSS Counselors and staff, Learning Specialists, Peer Tutor/Mentors, Workshops and Forums, SSS Computer Lab and tutorial programs, Cultural Events, and Campus Tours.
