The Special Services Department provides an important component in the comprehensive community university mission of ENMU-Roswell by providing services and programs to students with disabilities. The Special Services Department seeks to maximize the educational and career opportunities for all students with disabilities. Special Services Occupational Training Brochure Academic Accommodations
In accordance with the American's with Disabilities Act of 1990 and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, ENMU-Roswell continues to ensure equal access to educational opportunities for all persons with disabilities. The Special Services Department provides academic accommodations to students with disabilities enrolled in programs at ENMU-Roswell.
Special Services Occupational Training Program
This vocational and life skills program is designed for students with disabilities but is open to any individual that meets entrance requirements. Its emphasis is on training individuals for independent living and to gain positions in competitive employment. Students live on-campus in resident halls and upon completion of course requirements students receive Certificates of Occupational Training. Employment placement rates of graduates have consistently been about 70% over the last five years.
Vocational Assessments
Vocational evaluations provide information on a person's abilities and interests to assist with identifying an appropriate career and/or training program. The test used by this department is the VALPAR Pro3000.
