5.2 VISION STATEMENT
1. Purpose. The purpose of the Vision Statement is to establish institutional goals that are clearly stated and serve as a driving force for Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell (ENMU-Roswell).
ENMU-Roswell will be the first and
best choice for people pursuing higher education in the
region. We will be the driving force for education,
economic development and positive change. We are
committed to delivering high quality instruction training
and services that are responsive to individual and
community needs. We are dedicated to serving our
customers, whether they are seeking traditional education
or more specialized training to improve their quality of
life.
ENMU-Roswell will accomplish this vision through
self-evaluation and improvement. We will be guided by
the principle that all persons learn throughout their
lives. We will provide those lifelong learning
opportunities. Our partners, as we achieve this
vision, will be community leaders and organizations;
business and industry; local, state, and federal
government; and other educational institutions.
ENMU-Roswell will be a model comprehensive community
college in the region, providing programs and services
unsurpassed in excellence by any other higher education
institution in New Mexico.
