1. Purpose. Private support for educational activities plays an important role in providing the institution the resources necessary to carry out its mission. Private support can come in the form of donations, gifts, volunteer work, etc. The authority for the solicitation of private support for Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell (ENMU-Roswell), its program and its activities is vested in the Office of Community Relations with oversight through the Office of the Provost.
2. Policy. The Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell Foundation, Inc. (the "Foundation") is the official volunteer fund raising body for Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell.
The foregoing purposes and policies are implemented by the following:
3. The Foundation. In conjunction with ENMU-Roswell, the Foundation may acquire assets in the name of the Institution. The Foundation may receive, hold, invest and disburse donations from private sources for ENMU-Roswell programs and activities that are received as a result of its solicitations, either direct or indirect. These donations may be in the form of cash, stock, financial instruments, and real or other property. A more detailed description of the regulations governing the Foundation are described elsewhere in the P & P Manual.
4. Other Contributions. Donations, gifts, etc. made directly to ENMU-Roswell are welcome, but the Provost must approve any private contribution before it is officially accepted.
