ENMU-ROSWELL RANKS HIGH IN STUDENT RETENTION EFFORTS

A recent report from the New Mexico Higher Education Department shows ENMU-Roswell is outperforming other community colleges in the state in student retention. Of the 17 community colleges, ENMU- Roswell ranks second on this important measure of student success. The report measures first-time, full-time degree-seeking freshmen from initial fall 2012 enrollment to enrollment the following fall 2013 semester. ENMU-Roswell’s retention rate is 60.4%, just behind UNM-Gallup at 60.5%. The retention rates range from 32.9% to 60.5%.

“I want thank the staff and faculty at ENMU-Roswell for all their efforts that contribute to the success of our students,” said Dr. John Madden, president. “Every day, I see examples of them caring for our students that go above and beyond.  That spirit leads to the results that are shared in this report. Their great work is acknowledged and appreciated,” he said.
