Dental assisting courses prepare individuals to assist a dentist in chair side procedures including instrument preparation, instruction of patients on proper oral hygiene care, and maintenance of patient records.

Dental assistants are employed in dental offices, dental laboratories and dental clinics. Salaries range from $9 to $13 an hour.

Graduates of the program will be eligible to test for certification as a Dental Assistant.
