Financial Aid - Work-Study
What is work-study?
The work-study program provides jobs for undergraduate and graduate students, usually based on financial need, allowing them to earn money for education expenses. It is a federal or state subsidized work program.
How do I apply for work-study?
You apply for work-study funds by completing the FAFSA prior to the upcoming school year. You should answer “1” to question 26 (on the 2007/2008 FAFSA) which asks what types of aid you are interested in and more specifically if you are interested in student employment. Funds are limited and awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis. So please apply early!
How will I be notified of my work-study eligibility?
You will be notified of your work-study award through your Eastern New Mexico University Letter of Award. Your letter of award will specify all the amounts awarded to you for financial aid. If you are awarded work-study you are eligible for work-study jobs.

Each listing will have details about that position, as provided by the hiring department. Not all departments post available positions so you may inquire in various departments on campus. Students viewing work-study balances must have their User ID and PIN provided by the Admissions Office.
What is a Confirmation Sheet?
Once you have found a job of interest, you must obtain a confirmation sheet from the Financial Aid Office. You must then take this form to the appropriate department and set up an interview date with the supervisor. Please have the supervisor sign the confirmation sheet and return it to the Financial Aid Office. This process will not guarantee you a position. You will be notified if you are selected.
