The Division of Developmental Studies provides Developmental educational programs in the areas of English, reading, mathematics, and college success skills. These programs are designed to enhance students' prospects for success in ENMU - Roswell's overall curriculum. All students who do not meet university skills requirements, based upon placement test results, ACT scores, or transfer credit, are required to take the appropriate basic skills class(es). Students will not be awarded a certificate of completion or an associate degree unless they have successfully achieved the required level of proficiency in university skills. In addition, the Developmental Studies Lab provides free tutoring and a computer-assisted instructional lab which all ENMU - Roswell students may utilize to strengthen their skills in other college courses.  Testing Services, Adult Basic Education, Special Services, and Gear Up programs are all included in the Division of Developmental Studies.
