Safety Engineering is growing career field with a bright future ahead for graduating students. Safety professionals are an essential element in almost every type of industry, construction firm, plant, or government agency. As a part of a management team, safety professionals are relied on to identify unsafe or hazardous conditions and coordinate efforts to eliminate the hazard. Many safety professionals find great reward in knowing that they are a key element in the prevention of accidents and the safety of others.

The jobs a safety professional performs may include, but are not limited to: Environmental Management, Fire Protection, Inspector / Auditor, Accident Investigator, Training Specialist, Regulatory Compliance Director and many others. Currently, there are over 1000 job openings nationwide that are going unfilled due to a lack of qualified safety professionals. Men, women, and career changing adults do well in this profession.

Safety Professionals make between $30,000 to $150,000 a year. Many graduates are offered $40,000 + to start.
