Career and Technical Education Video

The Career & Technical Education Division, CTE, houses nine instructional programs: Automotive Technology, Aviation Maintenance Technology, Drafting and Design Technology, Electronics Technology, Fire Protection Technology, Industrial Engineering Technology, Professional Pilot Training, Safety Engineering Technology, and Welding Technology.

We are pleased to offer students a variety of certificate and degree options, all delivered using state-of-the-art technology. We believe that our instructional equipment, facilities, and faculty make us an excellent choice for skill-based training for students looking for high-wage/high-tech occupations. We offer day and evening classes and even on-line courses in many program areas.

The CTE Division has many industry partners who help guide our curriculum to help ensure an up-to-date, industry relevant educational experience. Additionally, our Aviation Maintenance Technology program is the only FAA approved Part 147 program in New Mexico, our NATEF certified Automotive Technology program carries the most elite industry certification, as does our American Welding Society “SENSE” certified Welding Technology program.

Please take a few minutes to look at our departmental pages and please feel free to submit an information request or contact one of our staff members directly. Campus tours are offered every weekday, so stop in to visit when you’re in our area.

Most of all, best of luck in your educational and career endeavors.
