Using Guidestar and Online Fundraising Websites: Participants will be introduced to Guidestar as a key support to non-profit success and to online fundraising websites like GoodSearch, First Giving, and Network for Good.

Advanced Grantwriting with Emphasis on Foundation and Federal Grants: Provides advanced instruction in applying for foundation and/or federal grants with emphasis on key components of the grantwriting process.
January 10, 2013 9 to 12 noon Cost: $15
Currently Available Grant Funding with Emphasis on Local and Corporate Funders: introduces the grant writer to the currently available funding opportunities and anticipated funding opportunities for 2013.
February 14, 2013 9 to 12 noon Cost: $15
Grant Reporting Basics including NM Attorney General’s Office: introduces the nonprofit agency to the required reporting necessary in NM and for funders who require follow-up reporting related to the grant scope of work.

Evaluation of Proposals: open forum for individuals who have prepared grant applications and are seeking assistance to evaluate a written grant proposal. You must have at least two sections of the proposal ready for review: for example, state of need and goals or budget and work plan. By individual appointment in 30 minute increments. Searchable Grant Databases: review and use of the most common free grant source databases and listserves available.
May 9, 2013 9 to 12 noon Cost: $15
Visits with Funders: spend time with representatives from organizations that are funding grants in New Mexico, learn about their requirements and expectations, ask questions about the grant process.
