The Pharmacy Technician prepares medications under the direction of a pharmacist and may measure, mix, count out, label and record amounts and dosages of medication. Some job titles are: Pharmacy Technician, Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT), IV Certified Pharmacy Technician, Pharmaceutical Care Associate.
Graduates of the program are eligible to take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board to become a CPhT or to take the National Pharmacy Technician Association (NPTA) examination.
