Mike Buldra has been involved in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) for over thirty years, where he has worked in a variety of types of EMS environment (private and public EMS Providers, and Fire services). Mike has worked in various positions (EMT-Basic, Paramedic, Firefighter, Manager, Chief Officer, Instructor, and Program Director). He became a California Emergency Medical Technician-Ambulance (EMT) in 1974. From there he moved and worked in both Colorado and Arizona as an EMT. In 1982, Mike became a paramedic Arizona. While also in Arizona, he obtained is Bachelor of Science in Microbiology for the University of Arizona in 1989. In September 1989, he moved to Roswell, New Mexico to work at Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell as the EMS Program Director. Mike was granted a Master in Education from ENMU-Portales in 2002. ChrisAnne Bell has been with the Division on health since the summer of 2006 and in her present position as EMS Administrative Assistant since the fall of 2008. However, she has worked within the ENMU system since September 2001. She loves working in the education environment as she started her career at the elementary school level and has worked her way up to her present position. ChrisAnne has a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences in Computer Application with an emphasis in Sociology. ChrisAnne has been married for 25 years to Billy and they have two children, Sarah, 24 and Roy, 19. In her spare time she likes to go camping, fishing and watching TV.

Jan Bell - Lead Instructor - PEPP, sistant Instructor – AMLS/PHTLS
Jan Bell got her start in EMS in 1988 with the Sacramento/Weed Volunteer Fire & Rescue. She received her EMT-Basic licensure in May of 1988, and a year later she received her Instructor/Coordinator status and began teaching CPR & First Responder classes. Jan received her EMT- Intermediate license in 1995 and started teaching EMT-Basic at that time. While with the Sacrament/Weed Volunteer Fire Department, she received her Fire Fighter I training, Wildland Firefighting, and Incident Command training through the U.S. Forest Service. She served as a firefighter/EMT for 10 years with Sacramento/Weed VFD. Jan left Sacramento/Weed area in January of 1997 and moved to Roswell and went to work for A.M.R. in Roswell. Jan’s experience in the field includes 8 years as EMS Director for Sacramento/Weed VFD, and work for A.M.R. in Roswell as an EMT-Intermediate. In 1992, she started teaching for ENMU-Roswell’s EMS Program as Adjunct Faculty. In 2004, Jan went back to school and received her National Registry EMT-Paramed

Ken is the outreach coordinator; his current responsibilities include coordinating and teaching critical care courses both on and off campus. Ken started working in EMS in 1992 after graduating EMT-Basic school at Cape Girardeau Vocational technical school in Cape Girardeau, MO. In 1994 he completed his paramedic education at the Institute of Health Management in St. Louis, MO. Ken has since obtained an A.S. in EMS from Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell and a B.A.A.S in Management from Eastern New Mexico University. He is currently working on a Masters in Professional Studies in Homeland Security. Ken has worked in both rural & urban areas as well as having, management experience, flight experience, and working as an educator. Outside of EMS, Ken has a wife Cynthia and new baby girl named Erin. He also has two longhaired Chihuahuas names Pancho & Chiquita. His hobbies include SCUBA diving, Krav Maga (Israeli Self Defense), flying single engine airplanes, shooting, & Photography.

Rodney has been in EMS since 1984, 22 years of that working as a Paramedic. He has instructed EMT-Basics and EMT-Intermediates, but has been the Paramedic Coordinator for 14 years at the Roswell campus of Eastern New Mexico University. Rodney has been an EMS educator since 1991, and has work as both an EMT-Basic and Paramedic in the fire department and private sector. Rodney is married, has 5 children and 7 grandchildren. He enjoys riding his Harley, playing bass and fishing.

Kathy Wells has been messing around in EMS since before some of you were born. She started her EMS career in the late 70’s and worked her way up the corporate ladder: FR to EMT-B to EMT-I to EMT-Paramedic to Supervisor to Operations Manager of American Medical Response-Roswell, from where she retired in 2002. Retirement was short-lived. Kathy went to work in the ER at ENMMC in Roswell prn as a paramedic. After three years of working 12-hour shifts in the ER, Kathy joined the forces at ENMU-Roswell in July 2005. As the current ILS Coordinator for the EMS Education Program, she is responsible for teaching and/or overseeing the teaching of all EMT-Intermediate courses offered by ENMU-Roswell. And, as with all of our instructors, she helps out with other classes as needed. Kathy and her husband Bill enjoy spending time with their 5 grown children and 8 grandchildren.
