Chad Kim Lead Instructor – Paramedic Refresher Chad Kim is a returning educator to Region 3’s conference. His EMS and Fire experience spans ground, air, rural, urban, and hospital based. He holds two Bachelor’s degrees and has the alphabet soup in teaching credentials. Currently, he is one of three Quality Improvement Captains for the Albuquerque Fire Department. Chad has taught First Responder through Paramedic class for ENMU-R and has been privileged to present at other conferences, including Washington DC. |

Leslie Foust Assistant Instructor – Paramedic Refresher Leslie Foust has been an educator for the past 19 years in both the Albuquerque Public School System and the EMS community. Leslie has worked in the Albuquerque Metro Area for Albuquerque Ambulance Service as both a Paramedic and Field Operation Supervisor, as well as assisting with the education department. Currently she is the QI/QA Education Coordinator for Jemez Pueblo EMS, as well as a Paramedic with the Rapid Response Team at UNMH. In her spare time Leslie assists with instruction at the UNMH Bat cave and as adjunct staff for ENMU-R. |

Pete Bellows Assistant Instructor – Basic Extrication Pete has been involved in EMS and the fire service for 30 plus years. He is currently the Asst. Chief for the Organ Vol. Fire Dept. after and 23 year career with the Las Cruces Fire Dept. He is an EMS, fire and extrication instructor with DACC and the NMFFTA as well as ENMU-R. |

Kyle Henson Lead Instructor – ILS Refresher Assistant Instructor – BLS Renewal/PEPP Lt. Kyle Henson has been involved in EMS for 23 years and became a First Responder at age 17. Kyle has been a Paramedic for 21 years and currently serves as an EMS-Instructor assigned to the Fire Academy at The Albuquerque Fire Department. Kyle served as a Lieutenant on the city's busiest Rescues for over 7 years and maintains Instructor status for the American Heart Association at all levels including BLS, ACLS, and PALS. Kyle is also the Vice Chair and prior Chair of the NM EMS Licensing Commission and has served for 13 years. Kyle has been a longtime EMS Instructor for ENMU-Roswell and also teaches for CNM in Albuquerque. In addition, to all this he is Co-owner of a Medical Training company (EMS Aspects LLC) that specializes in AED programs, CPR and First Aid Training. Kyle has an Associate's Degree in EMS and hopes to have his Bachelors Degree completed by 2012. |

Ronnie Savell Assistant Instructor – ILS Refresher/BLS Renewal/PEPP Ronnie Savell is a graduate of ENMU-R's EMS Education program. Ronnie has over 11 years in public safety including Police, Fire and EMS. In his current role he serves as the EMS Division Chief for Eunice Fire and Rescue. Ronnie is, especially by comparison, a newcomer to EMS Education but truly loves and appreciates the opportunity to serve the EMS community through education. When Ronnie isn't teaching, running calls or performing the less entertaining tasks of EMS administration you can find him sitting on his couch watching television or reading a text book for this or that. |

Nate Skelton Lead Instructor – Wildland Firefighting I have been working Fire and EMS in Region 3 for 17 years. I started my career with Field Volunteer Fire Department. A year later I was hired by Clovis Fire Department. From the beginning, I knew that this was going to be what I do with my life. I worked with Clovis Fire Department for a couple of years and made the move to Ruidoso. I was employed with Ruidoso EMS for about three years and volunteered with Ruidoso Fire Department. While there I attended ENMU Roswell’s Paramedic program. In October of 2000, I moved to Carlsbad and began working for Carlsbad Fire Department. Having worked for several different departments has given me unique perspective and invaluable experience. I regularly teach EMT classes at NMSU Carlsbad as well as structural firefighting, heavy rescue, rope rescue and wildland firefighting around the state and country. |

Scott Maxwell Assistant Instructor – Wildland Firefighting Scott Maxwell was born in Carlsbad, NM. Scott attended school in Carlsbad and graduated in 1993. Soon after graduation, Scott enlisted in the United States Army. During his military career Scott served with the 82nd Airborne Division and was deployed around the world including deployments to the Southwest Asia. Scott was honorably discharged from the military in 2000. After leaving the military Scott returned to Carlsbad and attended EMT training. Scott worked with the Bureau of Land Management as a firefighter until 2004 when he was hired on at Carlsbad Fire Department. During his employment at Carlsbad Fire Department he has obtained his Paramedic License and his Instructor/Coordinator. Scott has received an Associate’s Degree in Fire Science and in Emergency Medical Services. Scott’s other job duties include Hazmat Technician, Rescue Diver, Swift water Rescue Technician, and recently began flying with Native Air. Scott is married to Carrie and together they have 3 children, Calvin (11), Justin (4) and Tristan (1). Scott’s hobbies include spending his off days with his family. Scott is also an avid hunter. |

Darryl Stuart Lead Instructor – Rope Rescue A&O Darryl Stuart has 20 years of service with the Roswell Fire Department and currently holds the rank of Battalion Chief. Darryl works with the New Mexico Firefighters Training Academy with the Rope Rescue Program for the past 15 years and is currently a master instructor teaching class from technical rescue to Officer/Instructor II courses. |

Jason Sweatfield Assistant Instructor – Rope Rescue A&O I have twelve years with the Roswell Fire Department serving as Lieutenant for the last eight years. I have been a ropes instructor for the fire department for about the last ten or eleven years. I am also an instructor for the State Fire Academy, were I teach awareness and operation, as well as the technician class. |

Shane Adams Assistant Instructor – Rope Rescue A&O I have been in the fire service for almost 20 years. I started with Berrendo Volunteer Fire/Rescue and was there for about 4 1/2 years. I then applied at the City of Roswell Fire Department and started working there in March of 95. I am currently a Lieutenant and an EMT Intermediate. I instruct several courses for the fire department including Rope Rescue. I have been teaching ropes for 12+ years and have instructed many Firefighters/EMT's throughout the state. I am also an adjunct instructor for the State Fire Academy and have developed the current curriculum used for Ropes A & O course as well as the Technician course. I have been married to my wonderful wife for 17 years and have two beautiful daughters. When not working I like to spend time with the family, especially at the lake!! |

Sahaj Khalsa Lead Instructor – AMLS/PHTLS Sahaj Khalsa has been working in EMS for more than 10 years, primarily in Northern New Mexico. He has been teaching EMS courses at all levels for the past 7 years. He enjoys long walks on the...wait, that last bit may not be appropriate, huh? |

Eric Mann Assistant Instructor – AMLS/PHTLS Eric has been involved in EMS for eight years. He began his career at Roswell fire Department as a Firefighter/EMT Basic, and is currently a Lt/Paramedic for Roswell Fire and a QA officer for the department. In addition to his duties at RFD, Eric also works ENMU-R EMS Program as adjunct instructor for the Paramedic and Intermediate Programs and is a lead instructor for the EMT Basic program. If that’s not enough, Eric holds a position at Roswell Regional Hospital where he has practiced as a Paramedic in the Emergency Department for several years. Outside of EMS Eric has been married for 16 years to his wife Christie, who runs their insurance agency, Mann Insurance Inc. Eric and Christie have four daughters ranging in ages 10-17. He enjoys spending his spare time with his family, and an occasional round of golf. |

Jan Bell Lead Instructor - PEPP Assistant Instructor – AMLS/PHTLS Jan Bell is has been in EMS for 23 years and has been an EMS instructor for 22 years. She started out with a volunteer department, which she served with for 10 years before moving to Roswell. Jan also worked for a paid service during her career, and is now full-time faculty with ENMU-Roswell EMS Program. In order to continue her education in EMS, Jan has gotten her CCEMT-P certification, PNCCT certification, and is completing her AS in EMS this semester. Jan believes that the day she quits learning in EMS is the day she quits teaching. |

Carl Gilmore Assistant Instructor – AMLS/PHTLS Carl has been involved in pre-hospital medicine for 45 years, since 1971 as an EMT at various levels. He has developed and directed county wide EMS agencies, been a volunteer fire fighter, and taught pre-hospital medicine special focus on care in frontier, rural and wilderness environments. He is currently active as an EMT-I with Taos Ski Valley both ski patrol and volunteer EMS. In 1992 was awarded the title of Master EMS Instructor by the University of NM, School of Medicine’s EMS Academy. Carl also teaches for Eastern NM University’s EMS program, Wilderness Medical Associates and is a BLS Faculty Instructor for NM EMS Region 3’s AHA CPR program. |

Pamela Lantz Lead Instructor - PEARS Assistant Instructor - PALS Pamela Lantz is the Pediatric Cardiology Specialty Nurse at the University of New Mexico Children's Hospital. She has over 25 years of critical care nursing experience and has been in this position for over 10 years. She manages children with complex congenital heart disease, post-transplant and rhythm disturbances. Her past positions include PICU charge, ECMO Specialist, PICU Clinical Educator and PICU transport. She is a volunteer for the American Heart Association and has served as PALS and BLS Regional Faculty, PALS National Faculty and Past ECC Chair. Pamela received the New Mexico Nursing Excellence Award for Pediatrics in 2007 and the 2009 Distinguished Nursing Award for Pediatric Cardiology. |

Lance Hill Assistant Instructor – ACLS/PALS/PEARS I attended the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Health Related Professions where I received my EMT-Paramedic certificate in July of 1993. I became a Nationally Registered Paramedic in September 1993. I worked in Ruidoso for 4 1/2 years before returning to Portales. I have been employed with the Portales Fire Dept. since October of 1998. I am currently a Battalion Chief and the EMS Director for our department. I also work part time in the Emergency Room at Roosevelt General Hospital in Portales. Over the course of my career I have the pleasure of teaching for ENMU-Roswell and some classes for CCC in Clovis. I have also had the opportunity to serve as Regional Faculty for all three disciplines with the American Heart Association. |

Siri Khalsa Lead Instructor - TCCC Siri Khalsa has been in EMS for 23 years. He has been adjunct faculty with ENMU since 2002 and has taught at all levels of EMS. Siri Khalsa also comes with an extensive security background which at times he has combined with EMS for work both in the US and abroad. |

Chris Boor Assistant Instructor - TCCC Chris has been in EMS since 1993 and has been a Paramedic since 1995. Chris is a certified police officer in New Mexico since 2001 and was instrumental in the development of a Tactical EMS Team for a state law enforcement agency. Chris' Paramedic experiences include ground EMS, critical care air transport (FW), hospital emergency department, and TEMS for a statewide law enforcement agency. Chris is a US Marine veteran and he is currently working on his Bachelor's Degree in EMS Management; but, his great challenge and greatest joy comes from being a husband to a beautiful wife and father to two beautiful daughters. |

Gina Buldra Lead Instructor – ECG Rhythm Recognition Gina Buldra, BS, RRT, RCP is the current program director for the Respiratory Therapy Program at Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell. She has been a Respiratory Therapist for 31 years. She has held several positions on the New Mexico Society for Respiratory Care including president. Gina is the current chair of the New Mexico Emergency Cardiac Care Committee for the American Heart Association and is a Regional Faculty for ACLS, BLS and PALS. She is a past BLS National Faculty. |

Justin Powell Assistant Instructor - PEPP Justin has been involved in fire and EMS for more than 15 years. Currently he is a licensed EMT-I, ENMU-Roswell EMS adjunct instructor, AHA Instructor, Chief of Dexter Fire & EMS, outgoing Chair of Chaves County Youth Awareness, and active reserve with Chaves County Law Enforcement Agencies. Justin is heavily involved in the Every 15 Minutes Program, Farm Safety, and anything else he can get kids involved in. He was the recipient of the 2009 NM EMT of the Year and the 1999 Cop of the Year (Dexter PD). You have probably seen his smiling face at Roswell Livestock and Farm Supply, where he has been employed for 14 years. |

Felecia Harvey Instructor - Rossiter Felecia L Harvey, LMT#4689, B.S., M.N.S., has taught Human Anatomy & Physiology Classes at ENMU-Roswell for 24 years. She became a licensed massage therapist in 2004 and a Rossiter Coach in 2006. These stretches are so effective in helping people deal with soft tissue pain that in 2007 she went on to become a certified Rossiter Instructor. Felecia is convinced that Rossiter Workouts are the most effective tool she knows to help people deal with repetitive injuries and pain & improve personal performance.
