The Welding Technology program is designed to teach students the many processes of joining ferrous and nonferrous metals. This program covers all aspects of welding fabrication in the various industries related to the fusion of metals. This can include process piping, mechanical and pipeline welding, structural welding, metal art, or people just wanting a hobby. Other areas of related study include print reading, basic metallurgy and inspection. Students can receive a Certificate of Occupational Training, a Certificate of Completion, or an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Welding Technology. Students also have the opportunity to become qualified welders under the American Welding Society, the American Petroleum Institute, or the American Society of Mechanical Engineers guidelines. These are all industry recognized standards.
