Students in the Accounting program can receive either a Certificate of Completion in Bookkeeping/Accounting or an Associate of Applied Science in Accounting.  This program teaches students the “generally accepted principles of accounting”; various software applications associated with accounting, and prepares students to take the National Occupation Competency Testing Institute’s (NOCTI) assessment for job readiness.  This assessment developed using business and industry standards verifies that the student has acquired competencies and skills in the following areas:  Journalizing, Posting, Payroll Preparation, Banking and Banking Procedures, Merchandise Inventory, Completion of Accounting Cycle, Locating Source Data, and Mechanical/Electronic Accounting Devices.

The AAS degree in Accounting transfers into a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences (BAAS) degree program at ENMU.
