Program Description
This program is not eligible for Pell Grant.  Students will learn: 
  • Monitor animals recovering from surgery
  • Clean and maintain kennels, animal holding areas, exam/operating rooms
  • Hold and restrain animals during procedures
  • Provide emergency first aid to sick or injured animals
  • Assist vet in examining animals to determine nature of illness or injury.
  • Clean, maintain, and sterilize instruments/equipment.
  • Prepare surgical equipment/pass instruments or materials to vets during surgery.
